      Hi all,

I've never read or even posted on afu before (just the FAQs, Ma'am, just the FAQs), but I thought perhaps I might mention that a couple of famous ULs made it to Israel recently.

Actually, I'm surprised I haven't seen Craig Shergold memos in Israel before last year -- after all, there are many Israeli Internet sites -- but just FYI, the "business cards" version is circulating in corporate faxes since at least a year ago.

The more interesting one is the Blue Star LSD UL, which appeared in a major newspaper (Maariv) a few weeks ago, and yesterday was on the morning news in Galei Zahal (the Israel Defence Forces radio). Apparently an elementary school headmaster in Beer Sheba (southern city, has enough real drug problems to deal with even without this UL) sent out a memo to all teachers and parents warning about the tattoos. She even went as far as to spread the word on the Israeli Internet sites.

I tried faxing Galei Zahal (and e-mailing them) with some pointers to the Blue Star FAQs, but they didn't seem very interested (I wonder if anyone there ever reads their e-mail -- from the amateurish look of their WWW pages, I doubt it!)

What surprises me is that Israel is so small, it's very easy to verify such reports by trying to get hold of someone who actually has such a sticker, or at least someone who saw one -- every reporter knows this. But then, if everyone checked their sources we wouldn't have ULs would we...

Oh well. Just a data point.
