The following well-crafted piece of propaganda found it's way into my hands this past weekend. I have heard of the "LSD Tattoo" myth in various forms through the years, but was still surprised to see this. My initial reaction was one of humor, (There are people who will really believe this?) which slowly gave way to horror (There are people who will really believe this!)

I'm thinking of writing a mini-FAQ on LSD, refuting the points that this document makes, and preparing a two-sided document for redistribution, with their copy on one side, and my copy on the other, citing appropriate references so that those who care to take the time can educate themselves. I wanted to invite comments, suggestions, etc., from this group before I proceed.

A form of tatoo called "Blue Star" is being sold to school children. It is a
small piece of paper containing a blue star. they are the size of a pencil
eraser, and each star is soaked with LSD.

The drug is absorbed through the skin simply by handling the paper.

There are also brighlty colored paper tattoos resembling postage stamps that
have the picture of the following:

Superman                   Mickey Mouse                 Clowns
Disney Characters       Bart Simpson                   Butterflies

Each one is wrapped in foil.

This is a new way of selling acid by appealing to young children.

These are laced with drugs.

If you child gets any of the above, do not handle them. These are known to
react quickly and some are laced with Strychnine.

Please fell free to reproduce this article and distribute it within your
community and workplace.

And there you have it. There really is a WAR on "drugs", complete with propaganda! It's clearly (well past) time for some counter-intelligence. I don't want to take up too much space/time in here right now, so I'll hold back the flood of thoughts I have about this until I get some feedback.

P.S. By the way, the neighbor I got this from wants it back so she can copy it to send to her sister in South Carolina "because she has kids".

And she'll tell two friends...
