habit: Shrub to small tree, of thick slightly pendulous foliage. Similar in form to A complanata.

foliage: Smooth bright green phyllodes with conspicuous paralell veins (5-7?) running lengthwise.

flowers: Singular axillary spherical flower heads to 5mm, some report more than 1 flower head per axil.

distribution: Taiwan, Phillipines and other islands of SW Pacific. Not reported from the Australian mainland.

notes: Considered by Australian botanist L Pedley to be a member of the mostly Australian section of the current Acacia genus and specifically closely related to A complanata, with which it shares many similarities.
