Giday alt.druggers,

I have had a few queries about my 'Magic Matrix' which I mentioned in an
earlier post, so here is the full blown description:

Ok, here is the full explanation with ascii diagrams:

     1) Start with a Matchbox (sleeve only)

               +==+
               |  |
               |  |
               |  |
               |  |
               +==+

     2) Place a crease in the long sides thus:

               +==+
              /    \
             /      \
             \      /
              \    /
               +==+

     3) Now Join them together to form a hexagonal matrix (the more the better)

               +==+        +==+
              /    \      /    \
             /      \+==+/      \
             \      /    \      /
              \    /      \    /
               +==+       /+==+
              /    \     /     \
             /      \+==+       \
             \      /    \      /
              \    /      \    /
               +==+       /+==+
              /    \     /     \
             /      \+==+       \
             \      /    \      /
              \    /      \    /
               +==+        +==+

     4) Place lunch wrap or waxed paper over one side of this contraption
        such that you can't see through the cells of the matrix, but diffuse
        light can still get through

     5) Now place this matrix over the TV set thus:

          +---------+\
back of   |IDIOT BOX||=|
TV set -> | (TV) ||=| <- Lunch wrap side of matrix
          |         ||=|     Trippers ------------------>
          |Screen-> ||=|
          +---------+/
                      /\
          SIDE VIEW    \_____'Magic Matrix'
                        (excuse the arrow!)

     6) Drop some acid, suck Mary Jane, meditate until you levitate, then
        look at the matrix with the TV set running!

     Note: The open end of the matchboxes goes onto the TV screen, the covered
           end is the one you look at.

Theory:
   The matrix containes a number of optically isolated chambers which average
   out all of the colours present on that section of the TV screen.
   This new colour is then re-transmitted from the surface of the matrix
   (the wax paper) to your eye. After that I cannot say <-;

   To all appearances you have a bunch of wildly changing varicolour lights
   flashing on and of randomly with new and never seen before colours!!!!

   Every time the TV image moves, it creates a new burst of vibrant colours
   for your gratification.

Enjoy!

Graeme.
