delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, C₂₁H₃₀O₂ (mol. wt. 314.46)

Primary chemical responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis.

Usually called THC; Sometimes called delta-1-THC

THC is distinctive (but not unique) among psychoactive drugs in that it is not an alkaloid.
