GHB

g-hydroxybutyrate

GHB_2D_Structure

Sedative closely related in structure to GABA. Now a schedule I substance in the USA.

GHB is usually found as a colorless or faintly colored (impure) solution of the sodium (Na-GHB) or potassium (K-GHB) salt in water. Pure Na- and K-GHB are white, hygroscopic salts

SolubilityUp to 0.5 g / mL in water.

Dosage:

  • Oral

    1-4 g.
    A typical "recreational dose" is 1.5-2.5 g
    3-4 g will induce sleep
    >5 g is an overdose that can dangerously suppress respiration.

Unfortunately, GHB is commonly measured on the street in "capfuls", a term so vague as to be useless. Don't take GHB of an unknown concentration.
