On Wednesday "I" portioned out his supply of dpt by eye, since he does not have access to a milligram scale. Sections were divided in half until the desired dose was reached- in this instance, approximately 50mg for an introduction to this substance. "I" lit some incense, put on some ambient music, and sat and chilled for a while before ingestion. At 11:00 PM the material was finely ground and insufflated. Taste and smell was familiar.

"I" laid down on the couch for a while with eyes closed. At t+15 minutes "I" was fluctuating in and out of a deep sleep-like-state. "I"'s "mind babble" transformed from verbal organization into more abstract thoughts and ideas. "I" experienced the inevitable unpleasant nasal drip and some mild transient nausea. "I" felt a tingle of energy in the genital area, somewhat orgasmic in nature. At 30 minutes "I" got up and did a balloon of nitrous. As the effects of the nitrous trailed off "I" was feeling strangely baseline. "I" got up and posted results to a friend on IRC, who advised that "I" should probably be tripping pretty well at this point. "I" decided to chop up a few more lines, using approximately 3/4 of what "I" had done earlier.

At 11:45 "I" snorted the lines, and sat back awaiting the effects, this time in a chair. Within 5 minutes "I" began feeling psychedelicized. Everything took on a warm fuzziness to it. This continued for about 15 minutes and trailed off over the next two hours. "I" took some 1,4 towards the end which synergized nicely. This material was not found to be visual at these doses, spaced in this interval.

On Friday "I" once again decided to experiment. About 75mg was visually measured, crushed, and insufflated. Effects manifested within 30 minutes, as the afforementioned warm fuzziness. At 45 minutes about 50 more milligrams was ingested in this same manner. "I" was very energized and felt like dancing. "I" pondered smoking some Salvia extract but instead decided to vaporize about 10mg 5-MeO-DMT. "I" felt immediately "opened" up and all sorts of new energies started to make themselves known. "I" then did a balloon of nitrous while sitting on a chair, and another while laying on the couch. After the latter I remained on the couch with eyes closed for what "I" would estimate to about 15 minutes, trypping madly. During this time "I" became aware of a repeating loop of high pitches, similar to what one gets in a quiet room. "I" believed this to be the sound of the nervous system- it was not unlike other audio phenomenon encountered while on LSD and Mushrooms, or even sitting still while sober in a quiet room. Focusing on the sound of the repeating loop seemed to make it more pronounced. Before too long, the high pitches had erupted into a looping series of beeps, squelches, and blurps. Finally the furnace came on and the sounds were lost.

A while later "I" took another booster of about 75mgs and 2 ml of 1,4. Within 5 minutes things began getting immensly visual. Colors became brighter and more saturated, and familiar patterns began manifesting in the carpet and other surfaces. At this point "I" was tripping very hard, comparable to about 400 mics of acid, sans the unpleasant "edginess" that "I" found LSD to have. It was quite nice- "I" can see why people often refer to this tryptamine as having a phenethylamine feel to it. After about 3 hours "I" was near baseline and drove to a house of a friend who was having a party. When "I" arrived there was a bong going around, which "I" gladly accepted. "I" hung out for about an hour and returned home, took some more 1,4, and eventually went to sleep after chatting on IRC for a bit.

Two thumbs up! "I" plans on using this substance again in a more ceremonial as opposed to recreational manner. Hands down, "I" found this substance to be his favorite psychedelic to date. Highly visual, highly spiritual, and highly recommended.
