Blue Lotus, Blue water lily

This plant is mentioned throughout history in various religious texts, and appears to have been used by people of Ancient Egypt for its psychoactive properties. Sometimes called "blue lily", a nickname shared by Agapanthus africanus, a distinctly different plant.
