TiHKAL has two reports, at 12 and 36 mg

Some people report no effect when taken orally. Those claiming activity report 80-120mg as midrange doses. TiHKAL lists dosage as 100-250 mg. With a MAOI, reportedly, doses as low as 60mg have produced profound effects. The material is generally gelcapped, or for more rapid onset, the material is dissolved in juice and taken as a drink.

Reports indicate that the practical minimum for this route is 60mg, which may result in mild to strong experiences.

The HCl salt of DPT can be smoked, however, the freebase (which is an oil) is more effective and is a less harsh method of delivery. The freebase form is frequently absorbed onto an organic carrier such as parsley for easier handling.
