Give the plant plenty of root space, and always pot up deeper than
before to encourage new roots. Use a soil that hangs on to water (a
good bit of vermiculate will do this), as well as being fairly rich.
Water when the plant first starts to show signs of drooping.
The plant prefers shade, but will take some dappled light, 5 hrs. full
sun seems to slow the growth rate. Cuttings root easily in water.
Var. Stynophyla seems to be the largest variation, with "Tilo" following,
and 'puerto rico' having the smallest leaves and slower growth.
Hope this helps .
