That looks dangerous... of course it depends on what amounts of solvent you are aiming to evaporate. Most people on forums like this don't even evaporate their solvents under vacuum, they just let it dry so that it seems dry to the eye. This setup can't even be used to distill (no condensor) or collect the solvent back, so it's shitty and perhaps even dagerous if large amounts of flamable solvent-air aerosol are going inside the vacuum cleaner and it's electronics!

Yeah, and the shopvac would prob burn out pretty quickly anyway. The author claims that he meant this as a joke. A dangerous joke at that. Some jr. highschool kid could get the wrong idea from this.
