The full title of this gorgeous book is Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World: An Identification Guide. Beautifully produced with clear specimen photos and trippy micoscopic and electron microscopy photos adorn the pages. Mr. Stamets has once again displayed his mastery of mycophilia with this authoritative guide to psilocybian mushrooms. At least six genera and their members are described in sufficient detail to enable the myco gatherer to safely bag his (her?) prize. Discussions of habitat and the dangers of misidentification provide clues to a broader context than just finding the little clowns. Chapter Five, "Good Tips For Good Trips", offers suggestions for dosing safely and pleasurably. All in all, a must have book for the myco-enthusiasts amonst us.
